Brief Information
Currently, I have just finished my master’s degree in mining engineering from the University of Utah. My research is focused on Operational Excellence through the use of IoT and Lean Mining concepts, such as Short Interval Control. The study was applied to a truck and shovel fleet to reach a gradual improvement in the performance metrics, such as production rate and uptime. The results of my research were very positive. They allowed me to be introduced to valuable skills, such as being proficient in the usage of SQL Server, Power BI, PowerApps, and other software. Therefore, I am looking forward to work in the industry so I can keep developing my engineering and management/leadership skills.
Brief Information
In 2019 I begun my MSc. in Mining Engineering at the University of Utah where my main
focus is in utilizing sensors to capture data as well as understanding how data can
be utilized to improve operational efficiency.
As part of my education I've also developed programming skills that focuses mainly
on the needs of my research. I've been specializing in three major topics. Android
Development, Java and, Kotlin in order to develop mobile applications that improve
mining operations; SQL databases such as PostgreSQL and, MySQL to collect, structure
and analyse data; Python and R to focus on machine learning algorithms and data science.
